Terms of Service — My Contract X-Ray

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using My Contract X-Ray (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service Does

My Contract X-Ray uses AI to summarize and highlight notable clauses in contracts you submit (by upload or paste). It is an informational tool and is not a substitute for legal advice. Always consult a qualified attorney before signing or relying on any contract.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Plans, Billing & Refunds

Free accounts include 1 contract scan per month. Paid plans (Starter, Pro) unlock unlimited scans and are billed monthly or yearly via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled from the Billing portal. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) submit content you do not have the right to submit; (b) use the Service to violate any law; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service; (d) submit malicious files; or (e) resell the Service without written permission.

6. Your Content

You retain all rights to contracts and text you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not sell Your Content and do not use it to train third-party AI models.

7. AI Output Disclaimer

AI-generated summaries may be incomplete, inaccurate, or miss critical clauses. Output is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on the output.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its branding, code, and design, is owned by us and protected by applicable IP laws. These Terms grant no rights to our trademarks or branding.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decisions you make based on AI output. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
